Today I had the opportunity to meet with Frank Canning, the interim Executive Director for the Madison Heights LLS Chapter and Karynn Carrell, LLS Light the Night Campaign Director. We had such a great time brain storming about different ideas that could bring the Ann Arbor Campaign and walk to another level.
We reviewed the importance of the work that is being done in out back yard at the University of Michigan and re-establishing that relationship with the research department. Currently there are 13 researchers at the University of Michigan that are funded by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that are working on different aspects of blood cancer research.
Over all it was a great meeting with Frank and Karynn and we all are looking forward to the possibilities of making the LTN-Ann Arbor Campaign more present in the Ann Arbor community.
